Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC is seeking a Nursing Care Assistant for the General Surgery Nights shift. The NA works with RN/LPN to provide direct patient care, assist with procedures, monitor patient data and ensure comfort and safety in a high-volume hospital setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Nursing Assistant I (NA I) credential with BCLS certification, is able to document care in the electronic health record, and can respond to emergencies with professionalism.

Competenze

• Nursing Assistant I (NA I) certification current and valid.
• BCLS certification maintained to the end of orientation.
• Ability to document patient care in the electronic health record.

Mansioni

• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for procedures and provide manual assistance.
• Take and record vital signs and monitor patient data.
• Assist with admission, discharge and transportation of patients.
