Job summary

Duke Regional Hospital, part of Duke Health, is seeking a Nursing Assistant I to provide direct patient care in the inpatient Rehab unit. You will work night shifts (7p-7a) across three 12-hour shifts per week, assisting with routine and specialized nursing tasks under RN/LPN supervision.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, data collection, basic care, and maintaining a safe, clean environment. Must hold NA I certification and BCLS; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Nursing Assistant I (NA I) certification currently listed with NC DHHS; BCLS certification must be maintained by end of new hire orientation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for procedures and provide manual assistance.
• Take and record vital signs and document patient data in medical records.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transportation of patients.
• Follow standard precautions and use PPE as required.
• Support professional development and assist with teaching activities as needed.
