Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Nursing Leadership - Patient Care Supervisor for the night shift at UAB St. Vincent's East. This full-time role covers three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Work location is UAB St. Vincent's East in Birmingham, AL. The position requires Alabama RN licensure, BLS training within 30 days of hire, and at least 1 year of relevant experience. Responsibilities include supervision of teams, delegation of tasks, and ongoing staff coaching and hiring

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing before hire date.
• 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and provide leadership for clinical and non-clinical teams delivering patient care.
• Delegate duties based on skill levels and nursing scope of practice.
• Gather information from team to plan patient care for the shift.
• Provide feedback, coaching, and performance evaluation of staff.
• Participate in hiring processes for new staff on the shift.
