The position requires a BSN, two years of critical care experience, and active MI RN licensure with BLS and ACLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required.
• Two years of clinical experience in critical care required.
• Participation in leadership activities (unit/hospital/system Shared Governance, Precepting, Charge nurse) preferred.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the nurse manager, implement the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the hospital and nursing department and their effect on patient care in the CCSU.
• Oversee the CCSU operations to ensure high-quality, patient- and family-centered care.
• Participate in orientation, unit competencies, and ongoing leadership activities to support a successful transition into the role.
