Job summary
Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids seeks an experienced RN for the 7MHC Cardiothoracic Surgical unit. The role provides complex post-surgical care, including drains, wound monitoring and high-risk medications, night shifts, 36 hours weekly.
Responsibilities include planning and delivering patient-centered care, discharge teaching, and collaborating with the care team to achieve optimal outcomes. Michigan RN licensure and BLS/ACLS are required within specified timeframes.
Qualifications
- Associates in Nursing required.
- Bachelor’s in Nursing required within 5 years.
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) required.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days.
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care per ANA framework and nursing process.
- Plan, implement and evaluate patient care with family input and goals.
- Discharge planning and teaching to patients and families.
- Collaborate with Nurse Leader and adhere to Corewell Health policies and procedures.
