Job summary

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Admission Holding Unit and Throughput units. This role provides leadership to ensure efficient patient flow, staffing, and high-quality nursing care on the AHU and related Med/Surg units.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN (MSN preferred) with 2+ years of nursing experience and active RN licensure. Night shifts with competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN or BS in related field with two years' experience in nursing required.
• MSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in collaboration with the Nurse Manager to staff to ensure short and long-term goals are met by developing and monitoring standards of performance.
• Facilitates orientation, education, credentialing, and continuing professional development for personnel.
• Collaborates with departments to coordinate nursing care and ensure patient safety and quality of care.
• Manages budget planning and monitors financial performance for designated areas.
