Job summary

Join the BJC HealthCare Christian Hospital Lab team as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) on the night shift, with 10-hour shifts from 8:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Rotating weekends and holidays, you will perform specimen processing, testing, and QC, while maintaining documentation and following safety guidelines.

We welcome all experience levels; 1+ year is preferred. Epic and WellSky experience is preferred but not required, and related MLS experience may transfer.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical/Life Science or related field.
• 1+ year of MLS experience preferred; all experience levels considered.
• MLT-ASCP or equivalent certification.
• Experience with CAP, CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA guidelines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report and maintain patient test results in the LIS with timely turnaround.
• Document quality issues and initiate corrective actions.
• Operate instrumentation to deliver precise laboratory results and perform procedures.
• Perform quality controls and troubleshoot instrument problems.
• Train new personnel in methods and equipment.
