Qualifications

• MLS or MLT registration or eligibility required.
• Bachelor of Science in medical technology with internship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specimens for analysis and establish testing priorities.
• Conduct routine clinical laboratory tests and rotate between sections.
• Record results and refer abnormal findings for review.
• Maintain equipment and verify results with controls.
• Assist in training new employees on procedures.
• Perform complex tests on clinical specimens for diagnostics.
• Perform routine and emergency instrument maintenance.
• Stay current with instrumentation trends and techniques.
• Participate in procedure development and implementation.
• Take charge 'tech' duties on afternoon/evening shift.
