Job summary

Licking Memorial Health Systems in Newark, OH seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for nights 7 PM – 7:30 AM. You will perform a variety of clinical laboratory tests, rotate between sections, record results, and help maintain quality controls to ensure accurate patient results.

Candidates must have a BS in medical technology (or related), be registry eligible or registered MLS/MLT, have internship experience, and possess computer skills and manual

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related field and internship.
• MLS/MLT registry or eligibility status required.
• Strong computer skills and color/visual acuity for specimen analysis.
• CPR certification and ongoing education expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specimens and perform routine clinical laboratory tests.
• Rotate between sections and record results per procedures.
• Maintain quality controls and report abnormal results for review.
• Assist with instrument maintenance and staff training.
• Provide care for pediatric to geriatric populations as needed.
