Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform routine and complex laboratory tests in toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and/or microbiology for patient care. Night shifts 9pm-7:30am with a 7-on-7-off schedule including weekends.

You will ensure accurate results, maintain quality control, and operate/ calibrate lab equipment in multiple sections such as hematology, chemistry, serology, and microbiology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in laboratory science or related field is required or grandfathered as MT by CLIA 88.
• Registry/certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire; MT/CLS/MLS or equivalent.
• Experience preferred in a clinical laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical, bacteriological, serological and microscopic procedures in one or more lab sections.
• Produce accurate results in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis and microbiology.
• Maintain quality results by running controls, calibrating equipment and monitoring QC measures.

Education

Bachelor's degree in laboratory science or related
