Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Las Vegas seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist II for the night shift (11:00 PM–7:30 AM), Monday through Friday. The role involves performing moderate/high complexity test procedures, ensuring accuracy, quality control, and proper instrument maintenance within a CLIA/HIPAA-regulated lab environment.

The position requires a BS/MT or AS degree with relevant experience; ASCP certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year full-time experience or training in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Preferred: minimum 3 years clinical experience with most current year in present department.
• Comprehensive theoretical and operational knowledge in designated specialty.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in all testing areas and troubleshooting instruments/procedures.
• Support QC, troubleshoot complex problems, assist in training and process improvements.
• Perform and report analytical tests per SOP, ensuring quality control.
• Maintain records of patient test results and ensure turnaround times including STATS/critical results.
• Ensure reagents/kits have received dates and expiry dates; manage inventory.
