Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist II in San Diego, CA, for a Sunday to Thursday night shift from 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM. The role offers a competitive hourly pay range, with potential shift differentials for second and third shifts.

This licensed position requires performing complex clinical laboratory testing, adhering to policies, and maintaining instrument performance and quality control while working with the team on a variety of duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or life/physical sciences is required.
• Current State CLS license if required (California).
• Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform the most complex laboratory tests following procedures.
• Prepare reagents and controls; test new reagents and evaluate usefulness.
• Determine specimen acceptability and calculate results.
• Enter results accurately and monitor turnaround times.
• Maintain instrument calibration, quality control, and proficiency testing.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with supervisor as needed.
