Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories/Laboratory Sciences of Arizona (SQL/LSA) seeks a Medical/Clinical Lab Scientist for a full-time night shift in Fallon, NV. The role requires high-level technical testing knowledge, compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and related standards, and potential lead responsibilities in the absence of on-site leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology or related field.
Certification MLS or categorical required, or equivalent credential from an accredited program.
Nevada/California certification maintenance required if working there.
Phlebotomy competency as applicable.

Responsibilities

Perform testing accurately and promptly according to procedures and standards.
Assist with compliance with accrediting agencies and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and document abnormal results and participate in QA activities.
Participate in training, education, and competency assessments for staff.
Assist with specimen collection and processing as needed.
Contribute to process improvements and cost-control initiatives.
