Job summary

Qualifications

• Certification as a Resident Care Associate completed with evidenced license/registration.
• Continued education credits required to maintain certification as an RMA.
• Knowledge of safe medication administration techniques and competency evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and deliver the Medication Management Program.
• Administer and record medication administration as prescribed.
• Document vital signs and changes in resident status.
• Record and report medication refusals and reasons.
• Maintain medication inventory and re-orders.
• Ensure safe handling of controlled substances and document discrepancies.
• Communicate with residents and staff clearly and accurately.
