Open Interviews take place every Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 236 Commons Way. Pay is $19.50–$23.00 per hour for full-time and part-time roles.

Qualifications

• Must have completed coursework to obtain certification as a Resident Care Associate.
• Must obtain continuing education credits as required by the state to maintain certification.
• Knowledge of safe medication administration techniques and demonstrated competency.
• CPR and First Aid certified or willing to obtain as per company policy.
• Understand and practice resident confidentiality.
• Ability to work weekends and flexible hours as needed for resident care.
• Show sincere compassion and demonstrate genuine concern for the physical and emotional needs of seniors and their families.
• Proficient in basic office equipment including a PC.

Responsibilities

• Assists in monitoring and safe delivery of the Medication Management Program.
• Adheres to all established policies and procedures and state regulatory standards when administering medications.
• Administers and accurately records the administration of medications as prescribed by the physician.
• Presents medications to residents and observes ingestion or completion of other application or administration techniques.
• Observes and reports adverse actions or side effects and seeks input from the Resident Care Director to ensure safety.
• Determines and records effectiveness of medications; documents refusals and reasons.
• Stores medications safely and maintains accountability of inventories.
• Documents on the Daily Shift log with updates, changes, and concerns.
• Demonstrates safe handling of controlled substances and reports discrepancies.
• Inspects and maintains equipment and supplies for resident safety and reports issues.
• Obtains and records vital signs during medication administration.
• Re-orders resident medications from pharmacy as needed.
• Documents pertinent information in resident records and completes incident reports as indicated.
• Follows infection control practices and OSHA standards.
• Communicates clearly with residents and staff and seeks guidance when needed.
• Maintains a positive, professional demeanor and participates in training.
