Commonwealth Senior Living in Radford, VA is seeking a Registered Medication Associate (RMA) for a full-time, overnight role. The RMA administers medications, observes outcomes, and ensures safety while upholding company values.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Resident Care Associate.
• Must maintain certification via continuing education credits as required by state.
• Knowledge of safe medication administration techniques.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain per policy.
• Understand and practice resident confidentiality.
• Ability to work weekends and flexible hours.
• Proficiency with basic office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and safe delivery of the Medication Management Program.
• Adhere to policies and procedures and state regulatory standards when administering medications.
• Administer and record medications for residents as prescribed by the physician.
• Present medications and observe ingestion or completion of other administration techniques.
• Document refusals and reasons for not administering prescribed drugs.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment and follow infection control practices.
• Maintain regular communication with the Resident Care Director.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
