Commonwealth Senior Living in Radford, VA is seeking a Registered Medication Associate (RMA) to safely administer medications and provide compassionate, resident-centered care during the overnight shift. You will collaborate with the care team, document medication administration, monitor for side effects, and ensure compliance with state regulations.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Resident Care Associate.
• Continuing education credits as required by the state.
• CPR and First Aid certified or willing to obtain per policy.
• Knowledge of safe medication administration techniques.
• Maintains resident confidentiality.
• Ability to work weekends and flexible hours.
• Proficient with basic office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assists in monitoring and safe delivery of the Medication Management Program.
• Administers and records administration of medications as prescribed.
• Observes ingestion and reports adverse effects or complications.
• Documents updates in the Daily Shift Log with residents and medications.
• Maintains safe handling of controlled substances and reports discrepancies.
• Performs routine checks on equipment and supplies for resident safety.
• Communicates with residents and staff and follows up with the Resident Care Director.
