Job summary
Advocate Health's WI ACL Laboratories – AMC BayCare in Green Bay, WI seeks a full-time Medical Laboratory technologist to perform and monitor routine tests, evaluate results, and ensure quality control. Three 10-hour night shifts per week with occasional weekends and holidays provide essential patient support.
Position requires a Bachelor’s in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology; MT/MLS/ASCP-BOC certification to be earned within 1 year.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology.
- No experience required.
- ASCP/AMT certification to be obtained within 1 year.
Responsibilities
- Performs, evaluates and monitors laboratory tests within established protocols.
- Evaluates results for clinical significance and reports accordingly.
- Performs calibration, maintenance and repair of instruments and equipment.
- Maintains quality control and quality assurance per protocol and accrediting standards.
- Collects specimens from newborn, pediatric and adult patients.
- Provides training and technical guidance to staff and students.
- Supports timely, accurate lab results for critical care departments during high acuity events.
