Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking a Night Shift Generalist to perform routine and specialized laboratory tests across chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, blood bank, and microbiology with minimal supervision. The role emphasizes quality control, instrument maintenance, and accurate data collection to support patient care.

The position runs a 36-hour weekly night schedule (Friday–Sunday, 6:00pm–6:30am).

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Demonstrates problem-solving skills to accomplish the job.
• Shows good time management and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and specialized moderate and high complexity lab tests on all blood and body fluid specimens.
• Maintains strict quality control to ensure accurate test results.
• Performs instrument checks and preventive maintenance per policy.
• Collects and maintains records and statistics per regulations; teaches staff and students as needed.
