Job summary

Memorial Hermann League City Convenient Care Center seeks a Medical Technologist or MLT for night shifts. The position performs various laboratory tests, handles specimen collection, and ensures quality control and safety in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires MLS/CLS education with appropriate certifications and experience in interpreting results, instrument maintenance, and collaboration with hospital staff. Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 6 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Clinical Laboratory Science or equivalent.
• Associate degree in MLS with additional bachelor’s in chemistry/biology/clinical sciences.
• For Microbiology/Molecular/Blood Banking/Hematology/chemistry streams, higher degrees may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily laboratory operations including specimen collection and processing.
• Quality control, result reporting, and distribution of tests.
• Interpret and verify test results using knowledge of techniques and instrumentation.
• Maintain analyzers and assist with instrument troubleshooting.
• Ensure safety with chemicals, specimens and hazardous materials.
• Support point-of-care testing and Blood Bank operations for trauma services.
• Collaborate with hospital personnel to communicate results and orders.
