Job summary

Memorial Hermann seeks a Medical Technologist or MLT to join our team assisting the Alvin Free Standing ER and League City Convenient Care Center. The position rotates to support each location as needed.

Shifts are 12 hours, days. The role performs various laboratory tests and procedures with emphasis on quality control and timely reporting, serving patients with compassion and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in medical technology, or equivalent lab training.
• Experience in high-complexity testing.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents test results, quality control, maintenance procedures and corrective actions.
• Manages daily lab operations including collections, sample processing, result reporting, and clerical duties.
• Interacts with hospital staff and patients regarding specimens and results.
• Adheres to CLIA, TJC, FDA, CAP, AABB, CMS and other regulatory standards.
• Promotes safe patient care, cost efficiency, and supports PI processes.
• Maintains system knowledge and supports customer service and quality initiatives.

Education

Associate Degree in Medical Technology (Equivalency Required)
