Job summary

Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist or MLT to join the team on a Nights schedule (7 On/7 Off). The role performs laboratory tests and procedures, maintains quality control, and ensures accurate reporting and patient safety.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's in biological science and ASCP/AMT/CLS certifications or eligibility, with relevant MLS program completion or equivalent experience in blood banking, chemistry, hematology, microbiology and urinalysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biological science required.
• Licenses/certifications include MT (ASCP) or MT (AMT) or MLS/CLS (ASCP) with eligible/required credentials.
• NAACLS MLS program completion within last 5 years or equivalent clinical lab experience as detailed in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents test results, quality control, and maintenance procedures.
• Manages daily lab operations including specimen collection, processing, and reporting.
• Interacts with hospital staff and patients regarding specimens and results with appropriate sensitivity.
• Adheres to policies and regulatory standards (TJC, FDA, CAP, CLIA, etc.) and promotes safe patient care.
