Job summary

Advocate Health's ACL Laboratories – Lutheran: Core: Days in Illinois is hiring a full-time laboratory professional for third shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with rotating weekends and holidays.

You will perform, evaluate, and monitor tests, calibrate instruments, and ensure timely results in a fast-paced clinical setting. Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s Degree or NAACLS-approved Medical Technology education (or equivalent).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or NAACLS-approved Medical Technology program or equivalent in a science-related field.
• No prior experience required.
• Documentation of NAACLS accreditation or equivalent education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests per established protocols; adjusts workflow to complete work timely.
• Performs calibration, maintenance, and repair of instruments; identifies malfunctions and corrects as needed.
• Conducts quality control/review per protocol and takes corrective action when indicated.
• Collects and handles specimens per protocol; ensures proper labeling and suitability for testing.
• Provides training and guidance to staff and students; assists in education program development.
