Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System in Dahlonega, GA is seeking a Laboratory Technologist to prioritize and perform testing with accuracy during the night shift, primarily 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., and to work across up to four areas if needed.

The role emphasizes maintaining compliant records per CAP, DNV, and CLIA, with patient care across adolescent to geriatric ages, and opportunities to precept MLT students. Strong candidates will hold licensure and a Bachelor's in medical technology or related field,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related field.
• Eligible for ASCP/NCA/AMT licensure in Georgia.
• Strong data entry and computer skills.
• Ability to work across Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology and Blood Bank.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and stat testing according to department policy and established time frame.
• Maintains lab records and documentation, entering data into computer system.
• Performs equipment calibration and maintenance.
• Lends assistance to other areas of the laboratory as needed to facilitate specimen implementation.
• Precepts MLT students as needed.
