Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required. Licensure/certifications ASCP, NCA, or AMT preferred per Georgia rules.
• Basic computer skills required; able to perform data entry and manage records.
• Independent analysis and accuracy for lab results essential.

Responsibilities

• Completes routine and stat testing per department policy.
• Performs analysis independently according to criteria.
• Maintains lab records and data in computer systems.
• Calibrates and maintains laboratory equipment.
• Consults with supervisor or pathologist on questionable results.
• Reviews daily QC data and interprets results.
• Precepts MLT students as needed.
• Attends at least 80% of continuing education programs.
• Contributes to quality improvement within the lab.
