Job summary

Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley, FL is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Technologist for night shifts (11:00pm–7:00am) to support our Laboratory Department.

The role requires a College degree in Medical Technology and a Florida technologist license or eligibility, hospital-lab experience preferred, and strong attention to quality control, safety, and teamwork. This position offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• College degree in Medical Technology.
• Preferred experience in a hospital laboratory setting.
• State of Florida Technologist or higher license in Chemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology, Serology, and Microbiology or proof of eligibility and dates approved for taking exam.
• Patient contact and handling of biohazardous specimens.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine laboratory tests accurately with quality control.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving across departments.
• Maintains clear communication with clinicians and staff as lab ambassador.
• Ensures timely reporting and efficient workflow during night shifts.
• Assists in ordering supplies and supports training of new personnel.
