Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking a Patient Registration Representative/Medical Records Specialist to guide patients through registration and introduction to the facility, reducing anxiety and improving experience. The role also handles processing of health information, release of information, and medical records management.

Required minimum three years in health care or customer service; strong communication, basic computer skills, and willingness to work night shifts

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of experience in health care and/or customer service.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications preferred.
• Effective communication and ability to handle difficult customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients through the registration process and introduce them to the facility to reduce anxiety.
• Serve as liaison for patients, families, hospital management and staff to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist with processing health information including release of information and medical records.
