Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology with a 12-month internship in all lab departments.
• Current ASCP MLT licensure or must obtain within one year of hire.
• Proven skills in routine lab testing of general or specific nature.
• Strong communication and ability to work with diverse staff and clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Rotate in different lab bench areas; cover evenings and weekends.
• Enter specimens and process orders; operate LIS and other computer systems.
• Maintain clean work area and train MLT students.
• Provide accurate and reproducible test results and interpret data.
• Notify clinicians of critical or abnormal results per protocol.
