Responsibilities

• Evaluate specimens for acceptability and perform testing according to established laboratory protocol and procedures.
• Verify accuracy of results before reporting and report test results promptly.
• Perform maintenance and calibration on instruments and equipment; troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Maintain compliance with safety policies and exposure control plans for bloodborne and airborne pathogens.
• Perform phlebotomy (venipunctures, fingersticks) as appropriate for patient needs.
