Job summary

Singing River Health System is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to evaluate specimens and perform accurate testing in the hospital laboratory. You will verify results, maintain instruments, and perform routine phlebotomy.

The role requires an Associate Degree in MLT or related field, ASCP/AMT certification within 1 year, strong attention to detail, and solid communication skills. On-site lab work with a 7pm–7:30am shift and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in MLT or related field required by CLIA.
• Experience: minimum of one year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate specimens for acceptability and perform testing per lab protocols.
• Verify accuracy of results before reporting and report promptly.
• Perform maintenance and calibration on instruments and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform phlebotomy as needed and comply with safety policies.
