Job summary
Fairview Health Services in Maplewood, MN seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to perform waived to high complexity testing, follow CLIA SOPs, and ensure quality results within the integrated laboratory. The MLT will operate instrumentation, perform QC, and contribute to safe specimen collection and timely reporting.

Qualifications
- Must have associate or higher degree in a laboratory field with clinical lab practicum or equivalent.
- Degree in chemical/biological/medical lab science or medical lab tech with transcript.
- 60 semester hours incl. biology and chemistry; transcript required.
- 50-week U.S. military medical laboratory training plus degree/credits; transcript required.
Responsibilities
- Collect specimens following SOP and prioritize work.
- Perform waived to high complexity testing per CLIA ’88 guidelines.
- Operate laboratory instrumentation and information systems.
- Maintain documentation of QC, reagents, and calibrators.
- Communicate abnormal/critical results to care providers.
- Mentor new employees and students; complete training checklists.
