Job summary

Fairview Health Services is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technician for M Health Fairview Clinic - Eden Prairie and the southwest region. The MLT performs waived to high complexity testing under SOPs, collects specimens, ensures patient identity, and communicates results to care teams.

The position includes weekend shifts at Urgent Care sites and potential floating to nearby clinics. Requirements include an associate or higher degree in a related lab field with CLIA-moderate testing eligibility

Qualifications

• Associate or higher degree in a related laboratory field with practicum or equivalent for moderate complexity testing.
• Degree in chemical/biological/medical lab science or related field; transcript/diploma required.
• Alternatives include 60 semester hours with biology/chemistry; transcripts must be provided.

Responsibilities

• Follows SOPs to obtain specimens and perform waived, moderate, or high complexity testing.
• Collects and processes specimens with proper technique and SOP adherence.
• Communicates abnormal or critical results to care givers and documents QC checks.
