Job summary

Winona Health is seeking a Medical Technologist/Lab Technician to perform laboratory services, including phlebotomy and a range of waived to high-complexity tests, per CLIA and NAACLS standards. The MT/MLT will collaborate with hospital staff, assist with training, and support multiple lab disciplines as needed.

The role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to troubleshoot instruments while maintaining quality assurance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with accredited medical laboratory training of at least 50 weeks and CAP lab experience.
• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technician.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technologist/CLS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy in adherence to NAACLS standards and lab policies.
• Conduct moderate and high complexity testing, prioritize workflow, and report results.
• Handle clerical duties required to complete test services.
• Perform QA/QI activities and troubleshoot test systems as needed.
• Maintain equipment operation, perform calibrations, and ensure safety protocols.
