Job summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for full-time night shift. You will perform analyses on multiple specimen sources, ensure accurate results, and maintain instrument quality control while adhering to established procedures.

Eligible candidates may receive a $12,500 sign-on bonus and join a unionized, patient-focused team. Responsibilities include specimen handling, accessioning, competency testing, and training of new staff.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a laboratory science with certification (or eligible new graduate) as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
• Military experience welcomed. US Army 68K, US Navy medical laboratory tech, etc., welcomed for consideration.
• Successful completion of initial and subsequent competency exams required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and reports analyses of multiple specimen sources.
• Maintains productivity and follows established procedures to obtain accurate results.
• Handles specimens properly and confirms identification and suitability.
• Performs instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control.
• Replenishes reagents and supplies as per protocol.
• Participates in training and orientation of new employees.
