Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is seeking a Material Handler II for our Central Warehouse in Romeoville, IL. This role operates PIT equipment, moves and inventories materials, and supports multiple cells across the warehouse on a night shift (10:00pm–6:30am).

Responsibilities include unloading, stacking, cycle counts, and ensuring accurate part IDs. A high school diploma and forklift certification are required, with strong teamwork and computer skills essential to success.

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely operate pallet jacks, forklifts and other moving equipment.
• Ability to read Bills of Material and understand warehouse processes.
• Intermediate computer skills to perform inventory transactions.

Responsibilities

• Unload, move and store materials and perform bin maintenance as needed.
• Check IDs for quantities and part numbers and report shortages or damaged items.
• Move materials between cells and deliver to designated areas.
• Fill orders from storage and deliver to cells.
• Operate PIT equipment to move and stack pallets and load outgoing shipments.
• Perform inventory transactions and cycle counts in the system.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and conserve resources.
