Job summary

Interface is a global flooring and sustainability leader. This night shift supervisor role directs agglomeration and continuous mixer operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and productivity while developing team capability. Shift hours are 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM.

You will lead a team, manage staffing, and drive continuous improvements, partnering with Maintenance and Engineering to optimize equipment reliability and process performance in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field preferred.
High School Diploma or GED with manufacturing leadership experience required.
Minimum two years manufacturing supervisory team leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of agglomeration, extrusion, continuous mixer, or similar manufacturing processes preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Continuous Improvement, and Root Cause Analysis.

Responsibilities

Lead daily operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost goals.
Provide leadership during startups, shutdowns, and line stoppages.
Establish workforce plans and ensure staffing and resources for safe, efficient operations.
Hold Team Leaders accountable for standard work, process compliance, and performance.
Own shift performance metrics and drive corrective actions to improve results.
Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify gaps and implement fixes.
Oversee quality systems, testing requirements, and production documentation.
Direct management of raw materials, inventory, and production records.
Lead problem-solving with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Partner with Maintenance to prioritize preventive and corrective maintenance.
Schedule production time and allocate resources for trials and development.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, waste, and cost.
Train and develop Team Leaders and Operators for capability and succession.
Participate in hiring, promotions, and performance decisions.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics to achieve goals.
