Job summary

Interface is a global flooring and sustainability leader seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor on first shift to lead agglomeration and continuous mixer operations, ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity, and develop employee capability.

This role reports to operations leadership and collaborates with Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to meet performance targets and drive Lean initiatives; shift is 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field.
• High School Diploma or GED with equivalent manufacturing leadership experience required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives.
• Provide leadership during startups, shutdowns, product transitions, and unplanned line stoppages.
• Establish workforce plans and ensure staffing and resources to support safe manufacturing operations.
• Hold Team Leaders accountable for standard work, process compliance, and performance targets.
• Own shift performance metrics and implement action plans to improve results.
• Analyze operational data and KPIs to drive corrective actions.
• Oversee quality systems, testing requirements, and production documentation.
• Direct management of raw materials, inventory, and production records.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for process issues.
• Partner with Maintenance to prioritize preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Schedule production time and allocate resources for trials and new development initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement focused on safety, quality, and cost.
• Train and develop Team Leaders and Operators; participate in hiring and evaluations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Logistics to meet objectives.
• Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and safety requirements.
