Job summary

Amgen seeks a Manager Manufacturing Solution Prep to lead on-the-floor manufacturing operations during night shifts. You will champion a safe, compliant production environment and drive continuous improvement with cross-functional partners across Quality, EHSS, and Process Development.

You will oversee staffing, coaching, onboarding, and development of manufacturing staff, while aligning with AR5/ARI objectives and rapid change management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate in a related field with significant manufacturing/operations experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and people-management experience in complex, regulated environments.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Safety and Quality Oversight: maintain safe, compliant on-the-floor operations and coach staff.
• Operational Leadership: lead shift, allocate tasks, and coordinate with scheduling for near-term needs.
• Talent Development: mentor staff, build a high-performing team, and drive accountability.
• Continuous Improvement: identify and implement efficiency improvements and value-added changes.
• Agile Workforce Leadership: cross-train and allocate resources across AR5 and AR30.
• Strategy Execution: translate priorities into daily/shift plans and manage risk.
