BWX Technologies, Inc. in Indiana is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the Night Shift (Entry Level).

This role will be the primary engineering liaison within our manufacturing operations, actively engaging in the shop to resolve delays and inquiries while building strong relationships with night shift stakeholders to ensure seamless communication. Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical, Nuclear, or Manufacturing) or Physics, may train on first shift for up to six

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Nuclear or Manufacturing Engineering Technology) or Physics is required.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Civil Engineering.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance is required.
• Ability to train on first shift for up to 6 months.
• Demonstrated professional communication skills both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary engineering point of contact/coordinator for manufacturing engineering, tooling engineering and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a regular presence in the shop to assist in resolving delays and questions.
• Build strong working relationships with night shift stakeholders.
• Escalate concerns to appropriate stakeholders as needed.
• Act as liaison between program management, operations, quality, and lead manufacturing engineer.
• Ensure day-shift engineers are aware of nightshift issues.
• Represent Engineering & Technical Services for safety or quality investigations.
• Work with manufacturing engineers to standardize instruction across product lines.
• Understand contract/drawing requirements for dispositioning quality notifications.
• Perform special assignments as deemed necessary.
