BWX Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to serve as the primary engineering liaison on the night shift.

The role emphasizes hands-on engagement in shop activity to resolve delays and inquiries, coordinating with operations to drive improvements. The ideal candidate has a relevant engineering degree, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to train on first shift for up to 6 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics with relevant technical focus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to train on first shift for up to 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary engineering liaison for manufacturing engineering and CI initiatives.
• Maintain shop presence to resolve delays and answer engineering questions.
• Build relationships with night shift stakeholders and escalate concerns as needed.
• Act as liaison between program management, operations, quality, and lead manufacturing engineer.
• Ensure day-shift engineers are informed of nightshift issues in a timely manner.
• Represent Engineering & Technical Services for safety or quality investigations on shift.
• Work with manufacturing engineers to standardize instructions across lines.
• Understand contract/drawing requirements for dispositioning quality notifications.
• Perform special assignments as needed.
