Job summary

SURGE Staffing is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician – Manufacturing (Night Shift) to support daily operations in a manufacturing environment. This role performs routine maintenance, troubleshoots equipment issues, and completes repairs to keep production machinery operating safely and efficiently.

Training on first shift is provided for about one month before transitioning to the regular night shift.

Qualifications

Mechanical aptitude and interest in equipment maintenance/repair.
Ability to safely use hand tools and basic maintenance equipment.
Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventative maintenance on production equipment and machinery.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and assist with equipment repairs to minimize downtime.
Complete preventative maintenance tasks to keep machinery operating efficiently.
Inspect equipment to identify wear, potential failures, and maintenance needs.
Assist with machine setup, adjustments, and production changeovers as needed.
Use hand tools and maintenance equipment to perform repairs and routine service.
Document completed maintenance tasks, maintain logs, and complete work orders.
Communicate equipment issues and repair needs to supervisors and team members.
Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, safe work area.
