Job summary

1st Employment is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for night shift to keep production equipment, facility systems, and plant operations running safely and efficiently.

The role involves multi-craft maintenance (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, automated) with duties including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repairs, and support for plant projects. Experience in food or chemical industry preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a modern industrial facility.
• Associate degree, state-recognized apprenticeship/license, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Previous experience in the food or chemical industry is preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, specifications, and equipment documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery and facility equipment.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems.
• Respond to equipment malfunctions and complete repairs in a timely and safe manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to established schedules.
• Troubleshoot and repair electromechanical equipment and plant systems.
• Install, maintain, and repair piping systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, gauges, valves, and pressure regulators.
• Assist with plant-wide mechanical repairs, equipment installation, and fabrication projects.
• Help maintain buildings and grounds as needed.
• Operate powered equipment when required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, forms, and documentation.
• Report defective equipment, unsafe conditions, and other concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, GMP requirements, and industry standards.
• Participate in required training, including HazWOPER and Boiler Certification training.
• Perform other maintenance and multi-craft duties as assigned.
