Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to perform general repairs and preventive maintenance across office, R&D, GMP and Clinical locations. The role supports process improvements, with on-call backup duties and a three-night overnight schedule (8:00 p.m.

– 8:30 a.m., Sat–Mon). Responsibilities include coordinating safety and facility issues, managing spare parts, supporting electrical, HVAC and utility systems, and completing work orders in CMMS with thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• General repairs and preventive maintenance experience.
• Ability to learn new technologies and systems quickly.
• Strong documentation and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate facility and safety issues to Facilities Management.
• Assist in managing spare parts to minimize downtime.
• Support electrical, plumbing, HVAC, compressed air, fire and life safety systems.
• Enter and close work orders in the CMMS system.
• Perform facility projects and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Conduct regular building inspections and follow SOPs and EHS requirements.
