Job summary

Schwan's Company is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for a night shift in Sioux Falls, SD. Starting pay is $33.50 per hour, with a $2.00 shift differential for hours 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two-year degree in a specialized maintenance trade preferred.
• 0–2 years of related maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety documents, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to complete work orders and enter required paperwork into a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment like conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging machines to keep production running smoothly.
• Follow food safety rules when working around production areas, using the right cleaning procedures and food-grade materials to stay in code.
• Handle emergency repairs when equipment breaks down during production, getting things back up quickly to minimize downtime.
• Manage spare parts and tools inventory to ensure you have what you need when equipment needs fixing or upgrading.
• Always work safely, follow OSHA regulations and keep your area clean and in line with company rules.
