Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a skilled Production Line Mechanic/Technician for overnight maintenance on high-speed packaging lines. The role involves diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting quality and safety initiatives.

Candidates should have 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent technical degree. The job requires standing, climbing and occasional weekend work, with 12-hour shifts and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Two years of Production Line Mechanic or Technician experience preferred.
• Equivalent technical degree or education is acceptable.
• Experience with packaging/steel or aluminum can making equipment is a plus.
• Understanding of automation principles and controls logic is a plus.
• Ability to operate maintenance shop equipment.
• Must be able to stand, work in hot conditions, crawl under lines and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems with high-speed production line equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems with packaging/processing equipment.
• Complete routine preventative maintenance tasks safely and on time.
• Support food safety, quality and continuous improvement activities.
• Request design/fabrication of replacement parts or equipment as needed.
• Take lead to consult with internal resources to resolve issues and improve equipment.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
