Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a Production Line Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair high-speed packaging equipment in a continuous operation environment.

The role requires the ability to work 7pm-7am on an alternating weekend schedule, with OT and double time after 40/48 hours. Candidates should have a technical degree or equivalent experience and be comfortable in a hot production setting.

Qualifications

• Two years of production line mechanic or technician experience preferred.
• Packaging and steel/aluminum can making equipment experience is a plus.
• Understanding of automation principles and controls logic is a plus.
• Must be able to stand/crawl/climb and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems on high-speed production line equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems on packaging/processing equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance safely and on time.
• Support food safety, quality and continuous improvement activities.
• Request design/fabrication of replacement parts or equipment as needed.
• Lead consults with internal resources to resolve issues and improve equipment.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
