Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Reno, NV facility. The role focuses on mechanical and electrical servicing and repair of industrial equipment, acting as a technical resource for processing equipment, and ensuring safety and GMP compliance.

The position requires basic mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, the ability to work independently or with limited supervision, and good communication across levels. Night shift with a starting pay rate of $24.61 per hour is offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Possess basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Must be a team player with a “can do” attitude.
• Must be able to think on your feet, work with limited supervision and make sound decisions.
• Solid knowledge of company policies and the ability to hold people accountable.
• Good organization, writing and verbal skills.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and work the necessary times to accomplish goals.
• Capable of communicating with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Capable of working in hot environment and in areas where inks and lubricants are used.
• Must be capable of standing for long periods of time.
• Must have good communication skills and basic computer and math skills.
• Must be able to read basic English.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations and debug new equipment.
• Maintain, overhaul & repair various types of equipment, systems, components, etc.
• Preventative Maintenance on all industrial machinery.
• Troubleshoot and modify any/all industrial machinery.
• Ability to provide concise reports using SAP programs, and related forms.
• Assist with equipment retrofits/upgrades.
• Understanding of common mechanical principles, electrical and electronic theory.
• Performs all work in accordance with established OSHA, EPA and safety regulations.
• Building maintenance & repair.
• Maintain a neat and orderly maintenance shop.
• Preform food safety review when work order is completed.
• Maintain separated storage of food safe and non-food safe lubricants and ensure proper use in the machines.
