Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Maintenance Technician for night shift at our Kentucky facility. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic controllers; tear down and replace components; perform preventive maintenance; read blueprints; and ensure equipment runs at maximum efficiency.

Qualifications include 3+ years in manufacturing maintenance, experience with packaging equipment, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Injection molding or extrusion experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with packaging equipment desirable.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• Able to read blueprints.
• Must provide own tools; company supplies specialty tools.
• Proficient with computers.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical wiring and electronic controllers as necessary.
• Tear down and replace defective components such as bearings, motors, servo motors, PLCs, gears, drives, clutches, brakes, belts, chains, and electrical parts.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks as required.
• Work from specifications on blueprints, drawings, and layouts.
• Repair equipment to maximize efficiency and meet productivity goals.
• Monitor equipment and report problems to supervision.
• Follow safety rules and keep the work area clean.
