Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the night shift (7:00PM – 7:00AM, 2-2-3 schedule) to support food packaging production. The role focuses on troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and electronic control systems and requires reading blueprints and replacing components such as motors, PLCs, and gears to maximize uptime.

Candidates should have 3+ years in manufacturing maintenance, preferably with injection molding or extrusion, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Injection Molding or Extrusion experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Packaging Equipment desirable.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• Must read blueprints.
• Tools provided by company; own tools encouraged.
• Computers proficiency a plus.
• Good communication and initiative skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical wiring and electronic controllers.
• Tear down and replace defective components: bearings, motors, PLCs, belts, etc.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks as required.
• Work from blueprints, drawings and layouts.
• Repair equipment to meet productivity and waste reduction targets.
• Monitor equipment and report issues to supervision.
• Follow safety rules and keep area clean and orderly.
