Job summary
GE Vernova in Wilmington, NC seeks an experienced maintenance technician to set up, maintain, repair, and adjust a wide range of complex equipment and controls. You will diagnose issues from drawings and perform preventative maintenance across multiple systems, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic setups.
The role requires reading complex schematics, operating lifting equipment, and coordinating equipment restart with operators.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED; maintenance training considered.
- Two+ years in electrical/mechanical maintenance fields; GE program experience welcomed.
- Ability to read complex mechanical/electrical drawings and schematics.
- Experience with machine tools, welding and precision alignment.
Responsibilities
- Set up, maintain, repair or rearrange complex equipment and controls.
- Diagnose malfunctions and correct with minimal supervision.
- Read drawings for alignment and installation of parts and equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and service on diverse systems.
- Operate forklifts, cranes and related lifting equipment.
- Coordinate equipment restart with operators after repairs.
- Adhere to safety and regulatory requirements and keep clean work areas.
- Assist with tooling changes and inspections of process equipment.
